Alison Aprhys is a well-known journalist, whose articles and images have appeared in The Age, Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian as well as many print and online magazines and journals.
Alison's first book, Careers in Publishing & Bookselling - How to get the job you want, was published in 1997.
A lively and entertaining speaker, Alison has presented at many seminars including the Australian Journalists Association's annual freelance journalism conferences and Media Pass student seminars; many writing and publishing courses for university, TAFE and adult education and she has also delivered the Inaugural Surf Media Lecture at Edith Cowan University in 2006.

Photography Alison is an experienced photographer whose surfing images have appeared in many surfing magazines and newspapers including: The Australian, The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, Pacific Longboarder, Slide, Surf Life for Women, Surfers Village and Brigade. She has exhibited her surfing images at Surfworld and at the Great Ocean Road Photography Exhibition. Alison also focuses on photographing firefighters and regualry contributes images to Brigade and CFAConnect.
Public Speaking & Training An experienced and polished presenter, Alison has spoken at many seminars on a range of writing, publishing and book related topics for industry and special interest seminars, including TAFE and university undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
